Drama and Theatre
Theatre and drama is a creative subject which allows young people to develop their confidence, imagination, cooperation, and communication skills in a fun yet disciplined environment. Students learn how to trust their ideas and abilities and understand how to appraise situations, think outside the box and be more confident going into unfamiliar situations. It improves verbal and nonverbal communication; Improving vocal projection, articulation, tone of speech and expression. More Importantly, theatre and drama also develops listening and observation skills, and the confidence gained from this subject applies to school, future careers, and life. It encourages students to think and act creatively, thus developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills that can be applied in all areas of learning. On top of all this, Theatre and Drama brings elements of play, humour, and laughter to those taking part – improves motivation and gives children a chance to express themselves.
